Hi, my name's Michelle. I'm a fat queer neurodivergent person who lives in the Pacific Northwest. Through my use of bright colors, bold patterns, rainbows, and sparkles, I create inspiring and relatable images that promote fat acceptance, mental health awareness, neurodivergence, and silliness. I consider myself a painter but also work in felt, thread, glitter, pencil, screen-printing, weaving, photography, and sugar.
I believe art is a powerful tool for healing, self-expression, and connection. I strive to create work that communicates both the pain and the beauty of these experiences. Besides mental health and body image, my art also explores themes of non-monogamy, queerness, kindness, love, grief, and softness. These values are interconnected and promoting them helps to create a more compassionate and equitable world. Laughter is a powerful tool for healing and connection, and I incorporate this into my art whenever and wherever possible.
Overall, my pieces reflect who I am as a person and the values important to me. I hope they inspire others to embrace their own unique qualities and to celebrate the diversity of human experience.
